cooking events
Have you thought about corporate cookery to entertain your staff, or your clients? It can be competitive, setting teams against each other, or it can be relaxed and informal.
It's certainly a different activity and guests really enjoy themselves.
Once we know everyone's dietary requirements we can provide a great selection of menus for you to cook.
The event can be themed - e.g. "Japanese Emperor's Reception" or "Spanish Fiesta" - to suit your needs. We can cope with vegetarians, vegans, and all sorts of allergies!
It can either be a daytime or evening event - we use facilities and kitchens throughout London. It breaks down barriers and really gets people working together.
What makes our cooking events unique is that we can include wine appreciation at the eating stage. Once you've cooked the food - you then sit down to eat it accompanied by fine wines we've chosen especially - usually 6 different varieties - starting with Premier Cru Champagne as an aperitif! We firmly believe in matching wines with food and it really makes the event extra special.
Costs depend on numbers attending and whether you want the wine appreciation as part of the event. Contact us for a quote.
We use several venues in London for our cooking events, depending on numbers:
t.a.s.t.e. – located in Barons Court (Hammersmith) can take up to 150 guests in specialised kitchen facilities with restaurant too – also room for meeting beforehand
Mayfair Conference Centre – located at Marble Arch overlooking Hyde Park – fantastic location for up to 80 guests – again with opportunity for meeting room if required
La Cucina Caldesi – off Wigmore Street (Oxford Street) – ideal for groups of up to 20
Beyond Food at All Hallows – situated next to the Tower of London – great for sit down events up to 30 guests, or more informal BBQ or Farmers Market style events for up to 100.
Mosimann’s Academy – situated in Battersea – ideal for groups up to 25. Individual hobs and cooking spaces as well as the use of Anton Mosimann’s Library where the food is eaten (over 5,000 cookery books!)
Sailing Barges and Paddle Steamers on the Thames – ideal for cooking event from groups of 20 up to 100 – plus you get Tower Bridge opening up just for you! Depending on the vessel you can sail through the City of London, or up the Thames towards Kew. Very different venue from the norm.

Case Study: Beyond Food at All Hallows
A popular city venue is Beyond Food, situated next to the City’s oldest Church All Hallows, by the Tower of London.
Beyond Food was featured on the TV show “Dragons Den” and it is a unique venue as the Foundation creates opportunities for homeless and vulnerable people through inspirational work placements and training that motivates them into exciting employment possibilities. Simon Boyle is the man behind the concept and it’s his vision which is being put into place. You can even buy Beyond Chocolates at Waitrose supermarkets!
For this event, as guests arrived they received a glass of champagne and some canapés. They then split up into groups to cook the menu which was chosen beforehand (taking into account dietary requests). After a couple of hours enjoyable hands on experience, they then sat down to eat what they had cooked, together with a selection wines to harmonise. Here is what the client thought of the event:
"Would you please pass warmest thanks to Mikhail, Simon, Harry et al for the most wonderful, happy memorable evening last Monday. All of us felt it was one of the most enjoyable corporate evenings we have ever had with our friends with whom we do business.
It was extremely well organised; we were looked after so thoughtfully all evening and made to feel so welcome. The food was just delicious - despite our involvement......and of course the wine perfect!
We will be looking for an opportunity to repeat."

“The evening went really well, thank you so much!
The food was delicious and the wine tasting great fun. The venue, to be so hidden away was excellent too. Your guys were great teachers and managed to keep my noisy team under control....very impressive!
I will be sure to recommend you on to others.”

“Just a message to say a big thanks for all of your help with organising the corporate cooking event on Tuesday. It was a definite success, the delegates really enjoyed themselves and it was a very nice meal we got to have at the end.
I'll certainly be recommending your company to other teams at PwC who are looking for a similar event.”
